Otrobanda

Otrobanda is a historic neighborhood in Willemstad, Curaçao, known for its vibrant culture and heritage. Located on the southern side of the Sint Anna Bay, it features colorful colonial buildings, lively streets, and a rich history influenced by African, European, and Caribbean traditions. Once a bustling port and commercial hub, Otrobanda has preserved many architectural landmarks and offers a mix of local markets, art galleries, and restaurants. Its name means "the other side" in Papiamentu, distinguishing it from the nearby Punda district. Today, Otrobanda is a cultural focal point blending history, community, and Caribbean charm.
