Othman

Othman, often called Uthman ibn Affan, was the third caliph of the Islamic community, serving from 644 to 656 CE. He was a wealthy merchant known for his generosity and played a key role in the early spread of Islam. During his leadership, the Quran was compiled into a single, official text. Othman worked to unify the Muslim community and expand its influence. His rule was marked by efforts to promote justice and stability, but it also faced controversy and opposition, ultimately leading to his assassination.
