osteopathic education

Osteopathic education prepares healthcare providers known as Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DOs), who are trained to understand the body's interconnected systems. Their training includes medical sciences, anatomy, physiology, and clinical practice, with an emphasis on the musculoskeletal system. DOs learn to diagnose and treat medical conditions using a holistic approach, often incorporating osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) — hands-on techniques to improve health. This education allows DOs to provide comprehensive medical care, similar to MDs, but with an added focus on the body's structural and functional relationships to promote healing and wellness.
