Osteopathic Colleges

Osteopathic colleges are educational institutions that train future doctors known as Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DOs). These colleges focus on a holistic approach to healthcare, emphasizing the body's interconnected systems, physical manipulation techniques, and preventive care. Students learn about anatomy, physiology, and medical sciences, similar to regular medical schools, but with additional training in Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT). Graduates are licensed physicians who can prescribe medication, perform surgery, and provide comprehensive healthcare. Osteopathic colleges prepare students to serve as primary care providers, emphasizing patient-centered, holistic approaches to health and wellness.
