
Osman Hamdi Bey
Osman Hamdi Bey (1842–1910) was a prominent Ottoman intellectual, artist, and museum pioneer. He is best known for establishing the Istanbul Archaeology Museums, helping preserve Turkey’s rich archaeological heritage. As a painter, he blended Western techniques with Ottoman themes, creating renowned works that contributed to modern Turkish art.
