Orthopedic Trauma Management
Orthopedic trauma management involves diagnosing and treating serious injuries to bones, joints, and soft tissues caused by accidents or injury. The goal is to restore function, reduce pain, and prevent complications. Treatment may include realigning broken bones (reduction), stabilizing fractures with casts, braces, or metal devices (like plates or screws), and addressing any soft tissue damage such as muscles or ligaments. Often, surgery is necessary to properly fix complex injuries. Effective management requires prompt evaluation, appropriate immobilization, and sometimes rehabilitation, to help the patient recover fully and regain normal movement.
