Origin of life theories
Theories about the origin of life explore how living organisms first emerged on Earth. The most accepted idea, the "primordial soup" theory, suggests life began in a mix of chemicals in early oceans, where energy sources triggered the formation of simple molecules that gradually built more complex life forms. Another theory proposes life started from deep-sea hydrothermal vents, where minerals and heat provided the right conditions for life to form. Some suggest life might have come from space via meteorites. While no single theory has been proven, these ideas help explain how life could have originated from nonliving matter.
