Organizing for America (OFA)

Organizing for America (OFA) was a grassroots campaign launched by the Democratic Party, originally formed to support President Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign. It focused on mobilizing volunteers, engaging communities, and promoting policy initiatives related to healthcare, economic reform, and other key issues. OFA aimed to build political participation and advocacy through local events, digital outreach, and grassroots organizing, acting as a bridge between the party leadership and everyday citizens. After the 2012 election, OFA transitioned into an affiliated organization that continued working on Democratic priorities, emphasizing community involvement and civic engagement.
