Organizational Justice Theory

Organizational Justice Theory explains how employees perceive fairness in their workplace. It focuses on three main areas: distributive justice (fairness of outcomes, like pay and promotions), procedural justice (fairness of the processes used to make decisions), and interpersonal justice (treatment with respect and dignity). When employees see fairness across these areas, they are more likely to feel motivated, committed, and satisfied. Conversely, perceived unfairness can lead to distrust, lower morale, and decreased productivity. The theory highlights the importance of transparency and consistency in organizational decision-making to foster a positive work environment.
