Oregon University System

The Oregon University System (OUS) was a network of public universities and colleges in Oregon, funded and overseen by the state government. It included institutions like the University of Oregon, Oregon State University, and others, providing undergraduate and graduate education. The system aimed to offer accessible, affordable higher education while supporting research and regional economic development. In 2015, the OUS was transitioned into individual university governing boards, granting each institution more autonomy to manage its operations and budget while still serving the state's educational needs.
