Oreamnos americanus

Oreamnos americanus, commonly known as the mountain goat, is a large, sure-footed mammal native to North America's rugged mountainous regions. Adapted to steep, rocky terrains, it has a thick white coat for insulation and sharp, curved horns for defense and social dominance. Mountain goats are herbivores, feeding primarily on grasses, herbs, and shrubs found in high elevations. They are excellent climbers, capable of navigating nearly vertical cliffs, which helps them avoid predators and access food sources. Their striking appearance and specialized skills make them well-suited to their challenging rocky habitats.
