Oral ulcers
Oral ulcers are small, painful sores that develop inside the mouth, often on the tongue, cheeks, or gums. They can appear as white or yellowish centers with red outer edges and may result from minor injuries, stress, certain foods, infections, or underlying health conditions. While many ulcers heal on their own within a week or two, persistent or unusually large ulcers should be evaluated by a healthcare professional. Managing discomfort can involve avoiding irritating foods, practicing good oral hygiene, and using topical treatments as recommended.
