Optical Spectrum

The optical spectrum is the range of all the different types of light visible and invisible to the human eye, organized by wavelength or frequency. It includes sunlight and artificial light, spanning from ultraviolet to infrared. Each type of light has specific properties and uses, like visible light for seeing, ultraviolet in sterilization, and infrared in remote controls. The spectrum helps scientists and engineers analyze and utilize light in various technologies, such as communication, medical imaging, and astronomy. Understanding the optical spectrum allows us to better harness and interpret different forms of electromagnetic radiation beyond what we can see.
