optical sights

Optical sights are devices mounted on firearms or bows that help shooters aim more accurately by providing a clear, magnified or non-magnified reticle view of the target. They typically consist of lenses and a reticle (crosshair or other pattern) aligned with the barrel. When looking through the sight, the shooter sees the target along with the aiming point superimposed, allowing for precise shot placement at various distances. Optical sights improve accuracy, especially over long ranges, and come in different types like scopes and red dot sights, each suited for specific shooting needs.
