Optical Network Units (ONUs)
An Optical Network Unit (ONU) is a device used in fiber-optic communication systems to connect individual users or endpoints to a high-speed fiber network. It receives data signals transmitted over optical fibers from the service provider and converts them into electrical signals that your devices can understand. Conversely, it also sends data from your devices back into the fiber network. Essentially, the ONU acts as the terminus point in a fiber-to-the-premises setup, enabling reliable, high-speed internet, phone, and TV services directly to homes or businesses.
