Opposition National Coalition (Syria)

The Opposition National Coalition in Syria, often called the Syrian National Coalition (SNC), is a political group formed by Syrian opposition politicians and activists aiming to unite efforts against the Syrian government led by Bashar al-Assad. Established in 2012, it seeks to represent Syrian opposition interests internationally and coordinate efforts for a political transition and democracy. The coalition acts as a diplomatic body, engaging with foreign governments and organizations to garner support and assistance for those opposing Assad’s rule, and strives to promote political reforms and human rights within Syria.
