Operation Unified Protector
Operation Unified Protector was a NATO-led military campaign in 2011 aimed at enforcing United Nations Security Council resolutions during the Libyan civil war. Its primary goals were to protect civilians from government attacks, impose an arms embargo, and prevent the Libyan government from using military force against its people. The operation included air strikes, naval blockades, and surveillance, effectively stopping Col. Gaddafi's forces from advancing. It ultimately helped to end Gaddafi’s regime and supported the Libyan rebels, contributing to the transition towards stability and democracy in Libya.
