Operation Treetop
Operation Treetop was a covert military initiative during the Vietnam War aimed at gathering intelligence and conducting surveillance in enemy-controlled areas. The operation involved deploying aircraft, helicopters, and ground teams to observe and monitor enemy movements, gather strategic information, and sometimes carry out targeted strikes. Its goal was to improve situational awareness and weaken the enemy’s capabilities without direct large-scale engagement. By operating covertly in challenging terrains like jungles and forests, it provided valuable intelligence to inform military decisions and contribute to the overall mission efforts.
