Operation Peace for Galilee

Operation Peace for Galilee was a 1982 Israel military campaign aimed at removing Palestinian armed groups, primarily the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), from southern Lebanon. Israel sought to stop attacks on its northern border and establish a buffer zone. The operation involved large-scale troop mobilization and fighting in Lebanon, ultimately leading to the PLO's expulsion from Lebanon.
