Operation Midland
Operation Midland was a police investigation in the UK launched in 2014 to examine allegations of historic child abuse and murder made by VIP paedophile ring whistleblowers, notably asserting the existence of a network involving high-profile individuals. The investigation focused on claims of abuse at notable locations, but it largely relied on anonymous, unsubstantiated accusations. After extensive efforts, no evidence was found to support the claims, and the investigation was widely criticized for its flawed process and impact on those accused. It was officially closed in 2016, highlighting the importance of rigorous evidence in criminal investigations.
