Operation Kalahari
Operation Kalahari was a covert military operation conducted by the South African Defence Force during the 1980s, aimed at countering neighboring guerrilla groups involved in regional conflicts, particularly in Namibia and Angola. The operation utilized special forces to gather intelligence, sabotage enemy supplies, and support allied forces, all while operating discreetly in the challenging Kalahari Desert environment. Its goal was to weaken insurgent movements and maintain regional stability, often involving clandestine activities that remained classified during the Cold War era.
