Operation Entebbe
Operation Entebbe was a daring rescue mission carried out by Israeli forces in July 1976 after the hijacking of an Air France plane by terrorists. The hijackers took the plane, with hundreds of passengers, and diverted it to Entebbe Airport in Uganda. Israel planned and executed a risky raid to free the hostages, flying over enemy territory at night, landing quietly, and rescuing the hostages in a swift assault. The operation successfully rescued most of the hostages with minimal casualties, demonstrating precise planning, bravery, and coordination in response to terrorism.
