Operation Eagle
Operation Eagle was a military mission conducted by the United States during the Vietnam War in 1968-1969. Its goal was to secure and maintain control of a strategic area around the Khe Sanh Combat Base in South Vietnam, helping to prevent North Vietnamese forces from strengthening their position. The operation involved large-scale deployments of troops and artillery, aimed at attrition and denying enemy advantages. It was part of broader efforts to strengthen defenses, gather intelligence, and prepare for possible larger offensives in the region.
