Operación Iraqi Freedom
Operación Iraqi Freedom was the U.S.-led military campaign launched in 2003 to remove Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein from power. The operation aimed to eliminate weapons of mass destruction, promote democracy, and stabilize Iraq. It involved a combination of aerial bombings, ground invasions, and establishing security. Despite initial success in overthrowing Saddam, the mission faced ongoing challenges, including insurgency, sectarian violence, and nation-building efforts. The operation officially concluded in 2011, but its effects continue to influence Iraq’s political and security landscape.
