Operación Barbarroja
Operación Barbarroja was the code name for Nazi Germany’s surprise invasion of the Soviet Union during World War II, launched on June 22, 1941. It aimed to quickly conquer Soviet territories and eliminate communism, but it ultimately failed due to harsh winter, difficult terrain, and fierce Soviet resistance. The operation marked a significant escalation in the war, opening the Eastern Front, and led to devastating battles that drained German resources and contributed to the eventual defeat of Nazi Germany.
