open-loop system

An open-loop system is a control process that operates without using feedback to adjust its actions. It performs a set task based on predefined instructions or inputs, regardless of the actual outcome. For example, a washing machine set to run for 30 minutes will stop after that time, without checking if the clothes are clean. Such systems are simple and straightforward but can be less accurate if conditions change, since they don’t adjust their operation based on the results.
