Opaque Coatings

Opaque coatings are finishes that completely block light and visibility through a surface, preventing the underlying material from being seen. Commonly used in paints, wallpapers, and laminates, they provide a solid, uniform appearance and often serve protective and decorative purposes. These coatings are formulated with pigments and binders that hide surface irregularities and improve durability, making them ideal for applications where concealment, privacy, or surface uniformity is desired. They differ from transparent or translucent coatings, which allow light and details beneath to show through.
