Oocyte vitrification

Oocyte vitrification is a method of freezing a woman’s eggs quickly using a special process that prevents ice crystal formation. This rapid freezing preserves the eggs’ quality, allowing them to be stored for future use. When needed, the eggs are slowly warmed, and fertilization can occur through in vitro fertilization (IVF). Vitrification has greatly improved success rates compared to earlier methods, providing women with more flexibility to delay childbirth or preserve fertility due to medical or personal reasons.
