Ontario Premier
The Premier of Ontario is the head of the provincial government, responsible for leading the province's administration, making policy decisions, and representing Ontario in federal matters and international relations. They are the leader of the political party that wins the most seats in the Ontario Legislature after an election. The Premier appoints cabinet ministers, sets government priorities, and oversees the delivery of public services such as healthcare, education, and transportation. Their role is similar to a state governor in the U.S., but within a parliamentary system, where the Premier is chosen based on legislative support rather than direct election as a separate role.
