Ontario Municipal Board (OMB)
The Ontario Municipal Board (OMB) was a government body that reviewed and decided on land use and development disputes between communities and developers, ensuring that local planning laws and community interests were balanced. It handled issues such as rezonings, subdivisions, and development applications. In 2019, it was replaced by the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT), which now performs those functions, providing a more integrated and accessible process for resolving municipal and planning disputes within Ontario.
