Ontario College of Trades

The Ontario College of Trades was a regulatory body responsible for overseeing skilled trades in Ontario, ensuring that tradespeople met professional standards, maintained apprenticeships, and upheld safety and quality requirements. It aimed to protect consumers, support skilled workers, and promote the trades sector's professionalism. In 2019, its functions were absorbed into the Ontario Ministry of Labor, Training and Skills Development, and the College ceased operations as a separate entity.
