Omega Centauri (Star Cluster)

Omega Centauri is one of the largest and most massive star clusters in our galaxy, the Milky Way. It contains millions of stars packed tightly together, spanning about 150 light-years across. Unlike typical star clusters, Omega Centauri is thought to be the core of a small galaxy that was absorbed by the Milky Way long ago. Its stars are very old, offering insights into the early universe. Located approximately 17,000 light-years from Earth, it appears as a bright, fuzzy spot in the night sky and can be observed with binoculars or small telescopes.
