OLTs (Optical Line Terminals)

An Optical Line Terminal (OLT) is a device located at the service provider's central office that manages and controls the delivery of high-speed internet, TV, and phone services over fiber optic networks. It connects to multiple end-user devices through smaller distribution points called Optical Network Terminals (ONTs) or Optical Network Units (ONUs). The OLT coordinates data transmission, ensures efficient use of bandwidth, and maintains communication with connected devices. Essentially, it acts as the central hub that manages, monitors, and optimizes the delivery of fiber optic services to homes and businesses.
