Oligoarticular gout

Oligoarticular gout is a form of gout where only a few joints—typically two to four—are affected by painful inflammation caused by deposits of uric acid crystals. Unlike more widespread gout, this limited involvement can make symptoms more manageable but still uncomfortable. It often presents suddenly with swelling, redness, and intense pain in the affected joints, commonly around the toes or ankles. Proper diagnosis involves identifying these crystal deposits, and treatment focuses on reducing pain, lowering uric acid levels, and preventing further attacks.
