Oklahoma Territory

Oklahoma Territory was a large area in the central United States that existed from 1890 to 1907, before becoming part of the state of Oklahoma. It was originally designated for Native American tribes displaced from their lands, primarily through treaties and forced relocations. The territory was characterized by frontier settlement, ranching, and farming, with towns forming as people moved west. In 1907, it was combined with Indian Territory to create the state of Oklahoma. Oklahoma Territory played a key role in American westward expansion, development, and the eventual formation of the state’s unique cultural and demographic identity.
