Oklahoma state legislature
The Oklahoma State Legislature is the state's law-making body, composed of two houses: the Senate and the House of Representatives. Together, they create, amend, and pass laws that affect residents and govern various aspects of daily life, from education to transportation. Senators and Representatives are elected by voters in regular elections. The Legislature also approves budgets and reviews policies proposed by the governor. Its role is to represent the interests of Oklahomans, ensure laws are effective and just, and maintain a system of checks and balances within state government.
