Oklahoma state government
Oklahoma's state government is divided into three branches: the executive, led by the governor who enforces laws; the legislative, consisting of the Oklahoma Legislature (Senate and House of Representatives) that makes laws; and the judicial, comprising courts that interpret laws and ensure justice. The governor, elected statewide, manages state agencies and proposes budgets. The Legislature passes laws and allocates funds, while courts resolve legal disputes. This structure allows for checks and balances, ensuring no branch becomes too powerful, and aims to serve the needs of Oklahoma residents through governance, legislation, and justice.
