OKH (Oberkommando des Heeres)
OKH (Oberkommando des Heeres) was the high command organization responsible for overseeing the German Army (Heer) during World War II. Established in 1938, it coordinated military strategy, operations, and logistics for land forces across various fronts. As the central authority, OKH directed troop movements, planned campaigns, and managed resources, serving as the main military leadership body for Germany’s ground forces. It worked under the broader German military command structure and was instrumental in executing the Wehrmacht's operations until it was replaced in 1945 as the war concluded.
