oil extraction

Oil extraction involves locating underground reservoirs of crude oil, then drilling wells to access and bring the oil to the surface. The process starts with exploration, using geological surveys and seismic data. Once a site is identified, a drilling rig creates a well, often thousands of meters deep. As the well reaches the oil deposit, pressure and natural forces may cause the oil to flow up or require techniques like pumping or injecting steam to increase flow. Extracted oil is then transported for refining into fuels, lubricants, and other products.
