Ohio State Government
Ohio's state government is divided into three branches: the executive, legislative, and judicial. The governor, part of the executive branch, enforces laws and manages state agencies. The legislative branch, consisting of the Ohio General Assembly (the Senate and House of Representatives), creates laws and state budgets. The judicial branch interprets laws through courts, including the Ohio Supreme Court. State officials and representatives are elected by Ohio residents, ensuring governance reflects the people’s interests. This structure ensures a balance of power, accountability, and efficient management of state affairs.
