Ofuda
An Ofuda is a traditional Japanese talisman or paper amulet used for spiritual protection and purification. Usually inscribed with sacred symbols, prayers, or the name of a kami (spirit), it is often placed in homes, temples, or shrines to invite divine favor or ward off evil. Ofudas are believed to contain spiritual power, serving as a connection between the physical and spiritual worlds. They are commonly issued by Shinto priests and are part of religious rituals aimed at safeguarding household well-being, health, and prosperity.
