Office on Violence Against Women

The Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) is a part of the U.S. Department of Justice that works to reduce and prevent violence against women, such as domestic abuse, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. It provides funding, resources, and support to improve services for victims, enhance law enforcement and community responses, and promote prevention efforts. The OVW aims to create safer communities by ensuring that victims have access to justice and resources, while also fostering awareness and education to stop violence before it happens.
