Office of War Mobilization

The Office of War Mobilization (OWM) was a U.S. government agency created during World War II to coordinate and oversee all efforts related to the war, including production of military supplies, transportation, and resource allocation. Its goal was to ensure efficient use of resources and to unify various government agencies and private industries working toward the war effort. By centralizing planning and decision-making, the OWM helped maximize the nation's industrial capacity and ensure timely support for military operations. It was a temporary agency, disbanded after the war ended in 1945.
