Office of the Independent Adjudicator
The Office of the Independent Adjudicator (OIA) is a UK organization that reviews complaints from students about higher education institutions, such as universities and colleges. If a student is unhappy with a decision or service and cannot resolve it directly with the institution, they can turn to the OIA. The OIA provides an impartial, fair process to investigate and resolve these disputes. Its goal is to ensure students’ concerns are addressed objectively and to promote fairness within higher education. The OIA's judgments are not legally binding but are widely respected and adhered to by institutions.
