Office of Planning and Research Climate Change Program

The Office of Planning and Research’s Climate Change Program helps California prepare for and adapt to the effects of climate change. It supports planning efforts, policy development, and data collection to understand climate impacts such as sea level rise, wildfires, and droughts. The program aims to ensure communities are resilient, environmentally sustainable, and able to meet future challenges. By coordinating across government agencies and with stakeholders, it fosters informed decision-making to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and enhance climate resilience at the local and statewide levels.
