Office of Defender Services

The Office of Defender Services (ODS) is a part of the federal judiciary that supports federal public defenders and community defenders. Its mission is to ensure individuals accused of crimes receive competent, effective legal representation, especially for those who cannot afford a private attorney. ODS provides resources, training, and administration to uphold fair legal defense, safeguarding constitutional rights and promoting justice within the federal criminal justice system.
