Office of Air and Marine

The Office of Air and Marine (OAM) was a division within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security responsible for overseeing aviation and maritime security operations. It managed aircraft and vessels used to monitor borders, intercept illegal activities like drug smuggling and human trafficking, and support law enforcement agencies. The goal was to enhance national security through airborne and maritime patrols, surveillance, and rapid response capabilities. In 2013, the OAM merged into the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency, continuing to focus on securing U.S. borders from the air and sea.
