OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer)

An OEM, or Original Equipment Manufacturer, is a company that produces parts or components that are used in the creation of final products sold by another company. For example, an OEM might manufacture the engines for cars made by a different automotive brand. The term can also refer to the company that makes the original version of a product, like a computer or appliance, which other companies might rebrand or sell under their own name. Essentially, OEMs supply the key parts and components that help build larger, finished products.
