Odrysian Kingdom

The Odrysian Kingdom was a prominent Thracian state that existed from around the 5th to the 3rd century BCE, covering parts of modern Bulgaria and the Balkans. It was a loose confederation of tribes led by a king, who unified these groups to create a stronger political entity. The Odrysian rulers facilitated trade, alliances, and warfare, and the kingdom was known for its rich culture, including metalwork and religious practices. Although it was influential in the region, it eventually declined due to internal divisions and external pressures from Macedonians and Romans.
