Odeo
Odeo was a platform launched in 2006 that specialized in podcasting, allowing users to create, share, and listen to audio content online. It aimed to simplify the process of producing and discovering podcasts, making audio broadcasting accessible to a broader audience. Although Odeo was eventually discontinued, it played a key role in the early development of podcasting technology and community, helping to popularize a new form of digital media consumption. Its development also contributed to the creation of Twitter, which was founded by some of Odeo’s team members.
